Ottawa Architecture Week - Vernissage

oin us for a celebratory evening of art, music, and community as we gather for the Vernissage of Ottawa Architecture Week 2026. The night begins with mingling, live music, and refreshments, followed by an overview of OAW and a celebration of the Murray & Murray Prize winners, and research work from Carleton University.

This year’s exhibition will also feature Resonant Currents of Kichi Sibi’s Astiku Falls, a project recalling and highlighting the significance of the Ottawa River and the historic and sacred Chaudière Falls. The project draws on the Algonquin First Nation’s name for the falls, Astiku or Asticou, meaning “boiling water,” referencing the bowl-shaped turbulence and plumes of mist created by the falls. The exhibition will also showcase design-build work by Atelier Desjardins, including sculptures and other explorations that engage with art, architecture, material, and place. The exhibition will feature a range of other exciting works and creative explorations from the local architecture and design community in Ottawa.
